description | Purpose: To compare the clinical measurements with the new IOLMaster-700 from those obtained with the Aladdin.
Methods: A prospective, cross-sectional, observational Comparative study.24 eyes were assessed using the two devices. Measurements of axial length (AL), anterior chamber depth (ACD), mean keratometri (Km) flattest (Kf), steepest keratometry (Ks) and white-to-white (WTW) were done with both devices in random order.
Results: No statistically significant differences (p>0.05) between the two biometers were found for AL (mean difference 0.000 mm), ACD (mean difference 0.164 mm) and Kf (mean difference 0.020 D). In Km (mean difference was 0.085 D), Ks (mean difference 0.151 D) and WTW (mean difference 0.29 mm) the differences was statistical different.
Conclusions: Measurements with the new IOLMaster-700 correlated well with those obtained with the Aladdin in patients with clear lens. |
