Summary:Hâkânî Mehmet Bey is an important representative of Turkish classical poetry who lived in XVI. century, in Istanbul. He has three works that reach to our times. First one is, his famous, well-known book named Hilye-i Saadet which is written in poetry about Prophet Muhammed’s (peace be upon him) physical appearance and his ethical attitudes. This work has a huge importance from the perspective of Turkish Islamic Literature. The second one is Miftâhü’l-Fütûhât that is written in the form of poetry about the forty hadiths of Prophet Muhammed’s (p.u.him). He has also an arranged divan. As a well-known poet of Turkish Islamic litreture, Hâkânî Mehmet Bey, thinks that the love of Prophet Muhammed comes from “iman”. That’s why in his divan, as a result of “iman”, he mentions the different names of Prophet Muhammed (p.u.him), talks about his times, friends and “the persons under his robe”/”Âl-i Abâ” and describes all these in details. In this article, Hâkânî Mehmet Bey’s divine love and reverence to Prophet Muhammed (p.u.him) which can be seen in his mentioned two books, tried to been revealed in accordance with terms which are related some religious persons, sacred places, times and ceremonies. Five blessed person Prophet Muhammed’s (p.u.him) daughter Fatima, his son-in-law Ali and his grandsons Hasan and Hussein names as Âl-i Abâ because of Prophet Muhammed (p.u.him) covered them his robe/abâ which is made of wool. In fact, Âl-i Abâ consists of five blessed people. However, as a striking point in the divan, Hâkanî Mehmet Bey does not mention the blessed Fatima. The depictions of virtue and affection is retricted to Hz. Muhammad, Caliph Ali, Hasan and Hussein.
