Description
Summary:The sublimation process insists on the symbolic order that is now in decline. Marcuse's project of a non- repressive sublimation seams inadequate and so also the deleuzian Anti-Oedipus that recedes in front of the symbolic to access a desublimated life. The battle around the sublimation - passing through the symbolic- representative mediation, for which a price is always paid and that always leaves a residue - it is also political. For the radical-minded thinkers, who use Lacan, the process of political subjectivation is a sublimation registred in the language of the Other but the signifier is decentralized in favor of a rising force of the Royal (not-all paradigm). Lawless enjoyment is within the symbolic order: it is the extime center that insists on the sublimation of language and politics.
