description This paper focuses on women's networks in the French comics industry, their specificities and their issues. It is based on a thesis in progress on the repertoire of contention of women comic book creators with a view to their recognition. The data used in this article is based on archival and field work (participant observation and interviews) and reflects a study that uses mixed methods of feminist research. The problematic addressed here concerns the collective bargaining of female comic book creators, from the rise of the industry in the 1970s to the contemporary period. In order to explain the emergence of these networks and their role in this industry, this article will first present the circumscription of this social group. Secondly, it will point out the phenomena of recognition specific to the networks of female comic book creators. Finally, it will present the intersubjective modalities and the functioning of certain networks of women comic book authors.
