Description
Summary:The current research aims to describe the level of perceived pain, family functionality, social support and quality of life in 41 victims of armed conflict in the condition of physical disability in Colombia. This is a Quantitative, descriptive and cross-sectional study. Five instruments were applied: a sociodemographic data sheet, the VAS, the APGAR-Family, the MOS, and the WHOQOL-BREF. In relation to the perception of pain, 39% considered it as severe. 63,4% of the sample has high family functionality, 75,6% show a perception of adequate social support and 68,3% report a decline of their quality of life. It is concluded that, in spite of the satisfactory results in some variables, situations related to the armed conflict affect the quality of life of the individuals as well as the possibilities of improvement in their living conditions
