description History of Slavonic (Ukrainian, in 12-21st centuries) -Baltic relations goes backto almost 2,000 years. They are based on a common history for these peoples in the Middle Ages, in the age of capitalism and in the time of their struggle for independence, which unfolded in the days of the collapse of several empires. Today, fraternal peoples continue to resist new imperial encroachments. This moment requires the actualization of knowledge on the history of complex relations between the peoples of the Baltics and Ukraine, which include, inter alia, knowledge of the history of culture, which is the spiritual basis of ideology and worldview, which, in turn, are decisive in freedom and independence, peace and comprehensive secure progressive development. The aim of the article is to reveal the Ukrainian-Baltic historical and cultural (as well as linguistic) ties, which occupy an important place in the history of the peoples of Europe. Through the consideration of historical and linguistic, etc., culturally oriented relations, the analysis of historical features of the spiritual development of Ukraine and the Baltic countries (Latvia and Lithuania) was carried out - from the Middle Ages to the present. Until the twentieth century, the research perspective of the problem originated in ethnographic studies based on democratic cultural traditions (late 19 th - early 20 th century) in the Baltics and Ukraine. The time after the Second World War was a period of assimilation of the cultures of like-minded peoples by the socialist-realist historical-linguistic, linguistic and literary complex. From the moment the fraternal peoples chose the independent path of development, the process of revealing the foundations of their cultural community on the rails of European values began. The research methodology is based on the principles and methods of historical research, ethnocultural intelligence, methods in the fields of interlinguistics and ethnocultural studies. In the presentation of the material historical and cultural facts (including facts from comparative linguistics), which characterize the Baltic-Slavic (Ukrainian) unity of cultures of these peoples, primarily through the activities of prominent personalities, cultural communities in general, are stated. The contribution of the Baltic States to Ukraine’s assistance in repelling the encroachments of the modern enemy is especially emphasized. The conclusions state that the times of wars, revolutions, challenges and geopolitical threats have strengthened the unity of the peoples of the Baltic States and Ukraine; that studies of historical and linguistic (linguistic) nature require further development and dissemination in the fields of science and culture in the world.
