| description | The present study aims at investigating the relationship between personality characteristics and marital satisfaction. The statistical population were married individuals in the first and fourth regions in Tabriz, among whom 160 ( 80 males & 80 females) were selected through cluster sampling. Data were collected through “Marriage Satisfaction Questionnaire ( 47 statements) and “Personality of NEO-FFI” ( 60 statements). The correlation coefficient of Pierson was computed and then regression analysis was performed. The results indicated that there is a significant relationship between personality characteristics and marital satisfaction. Among the different aspects of personality, “Neuroticism” and “Openness” contributed to the prediction of marital satisfaction, respectively. |
