| Summary: | The paper gives data on the use of the nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) aceclofenac (Airtal) for nonspecific back pain and other diseases. Aceclofenac is noted to be as effective as the most known nonselective NSAIDs (diclofenac, naproxen, indomethacin), at the same time it causes much lower rate of adverse gastrointestinal reactions, including hemorrhage. The authors also provide an analysis of serious side effects of NSAIDs in several countries, which shows that aceclofenac is one of the safest NSAIDs. |
