Summary:Abstract The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between information and communication technology (ICT) on organizational productivity by mediating employees empowerment and job stress (Case study: Shahid Beheshti University staff). The research method is descriptive and correlational. The statistical population of the staff of Shahid Beheshti University, which was 1187, was sampled consisting of 272 people who were randomly selected. The productivity scale of Hersey and Goldsmith (1980), occupational stress (UK Health and Safety Institute, 1990) and Spritzer Empowerment (1995) were used to collect data. Data analysis was performed using structural equation method. The results show that ICT alone as well as ICT through empowerment mediation leads to organizational productivity. ICT, taking into account the intermediary of occupational stress, also reduces organizational productivity. It is suggested that, in order to increase productivity in the organization, decision support systems and executive information systems create and use To be.
