Description
Summary:It is stated in the article that in the clinical picture of psychogeny there is a clear connection between the peculiarities of the character and the way of reaction under the action of the psychotrauma. It is noted that the mechanisms of therapeutic effects of psychotherapy are those internal conditions of the psychotherapeutic situation that ensure the factorization of all sanogenic effects in the process of psychotherapy, and they serve as explanatory models of the effectiveness of psychotherapeutic influences. These basic mechanisms are established to cover all three planes of the patient’s personality-based transformations – cognitive, emotional and behavioral. The possibilities of personality-oriented psychotherapy and other domestic directions of reconstructive psychotherapy with reference to the treatment of somatic diseases (somatogenies) are outlined. It is concluded that the tasks of psychotherapy of patients with somatic diseases are the correction of ineffective mechanisms of psychological defense, correction of the internal picture of the disease and adaptation to the disease, correction of the consequences of the disease’s effect on the psyche, as well as the formation of adaptive ways of behavior. The main goal of psychotherapeutic help in somatogenies is to restore the patient’s «personal» Self. It is shown that the prospect of the development of psychotherapy consists in the search for general mechanisms of therapeutic effects for all psychotherapeutic schools and directions, regardless of their theoretical orientation in the perception of the basic principles of the psychotherapeutic process.
