Description
Summary:The publication, Sources in Paraguay for the Study of the Two Wars, Documents, Public and Private Libraries in Paraguay, is structured as a guide for students and investigators interested in Paraguayan history, providing special emphasis on the War of the Triple Alliance and the Chaco War.  The book provides details of those archives, libraries and private collections in Paraguay with material relevant to the study of the two wars. This text provides a list of state sponsored and private archives and libraries that are accessible to the public, as well as a list of collections of both institutions and individuals not open to the public.  The latter of these collections were the hardest to evaluate in terms of content and are also the most difficult for the student or investigator to access.  The archives and libraries selected for this text contain edited texts and documents; iconographic sources for the two wars will be outlined in a second text to be published at a later date.
