description A method for measuring the involute spline over pin distance without over pin is provided.By using the PC-DMIS software,the actual tooth profile of involute spline is measured by digital model.The tooth profile coordinate is imported into Solid Works software,the fitting and measuring of over pin distance is carried out by the tangency function of the Solid Works software,and the result is compared to the instance.This method has the advantage of small uncertainty of measurement,easy to realize parameterized automatic measurement,etc.
