In light of the critical political economy of communication, we treat since the classic function of journalism to its industrialization process, coming to recent changes in new media, including the creation of Wikileaks. In this way, we address the growth of media conglomerates in the world, some political issues reported by the Brazilian national press and the real possibility of risk to freedom of expression in Brazil. |
