Description
Summary:The work of Llorenç Villalonga is characterized by the continuous change of titles and the constant revision of the works, with the incorporation of new chapters or characters and the modifications of the original text. Specifically, La novel·la de Palmira (1952) replaced the title with Les ruïnes de Palmira (1972) and added four chapters, in addition to making other changes, in the third edition of the work, by Club editor. On the other hand, two of the original chapters and two of the added chapters derive from previous Desbarats. The paper reconstructs the publishing history of the revised edition of the novel, based on the correspondence between the author and the publisher, and analyses the two versions and the previous desbarats from the perspective of hypertextual relationships, basically following Gérard Genette's proposal, in order to study the types of transformations carried out.
