Summary:Portworkers are exposed to many hazards, especially during reloading of dangerous goods. Nevertheless, there is no specific legal regulation governing safe conditions for the operation of a temporary terminal of containers in the river port of Czech Republic. The aim of this paper is to processing a brief overview of regulations dealing with reloading of containers with dangerous goods. Furthermore, solutions of some specific problems related to safety measures are proposed and issue of safety in port is discussed briefly in this text. The following text is the first input to assess the safety of the temporary storage of containers in a river port area.
