| Summary: | This article aims to highlight the archaeological remains found in the North of Rio Grande do Sul, specifically in the municipality of Novo Barreiro. In order to contextualize the findings in the region under study, a brief approach will be made regarding the Ancient History of the State of Rio Grande do Sul. Later, the lithic artifacts will be presented, which are part of personal collections and are currently found in the homes of citizens. The collections analyzed present various artifacts such as projectile tips, bolas, ax blade, pestle and hammer. It is intended, from the presentation of the archaeological potential, to enable knowledge of the archaeological, historical and cultural heritage, contributing to the valuation of space, preservation and understanding of the processes of territorial occupation and historical phenomena that occurred there.
