description Studies about Turkish history in Turkish Seljuk period generally focuses on political events. Cities that witnessed the seevent sare rather ignored. It is required to study cultural, social and economic situation of cities while investigating political history. In this context, Tokat is one of the most important cities of Anatolia and has a longhistory. As an important city in the period of Turkish Seljuks, Tokat, should be examined for beter understanding of the period. Thus, in this article socio-cultural history of Turkey Seljuk is investigated and importance of Tokat, socio-cultural life of Tokat also examined
