Description
Summary:AbstractThis study focuses on the tourist perception of the attractiveness and authenticity of the popular natural and cultural heritage objects in Ojców National Park. A potential relationship between the opinions and ratings given by tourists and the perception of the authenticity of the objects was highlighted (based on the analysis of data obtained from Tripadvisor, Google, Polskie Szlaki and ZamkoMania websites). The authenticity of the selected attractions is a component that contributes to the experience of a small percentage of tourists who are visiting Ojców National Park. In each case, tourists’ experiences are concentrated on different elements, the authenticity of individual tourists’ experiences is substantially different, and tourists also differ in their understanding of authenticity. The data obtained from websites, however, is not sufficient to confirm the hypothesis about the decline in the importance of authenticity in the opinions of tourists. The presented results confirm the need for extensive research on the important role of existential authenticity in creating visitor satisfaction.
