Summary:The aim of this paper is to highlight the important position of methods of creative drama with a focus on dramatization and role-play which enable a child to acquire new knowledge and skills through personal, emotional and practical experience in the educational process in active drama activities. Creative drama is based on experiential learning and it enables creative work with kids, builds their confidence, creates a space for self-fulfillment and builds on the creative potential of the child. Activities which create space for self-expression of a child and bring joy and a sense of accomplishment are proposed at the end of the article.
