Summary: | The ever- increasing importance of campylobacter jejuni infectious is due to its associations with severe diarrhoea , especially in children. In order to determine the bacterial etiology of gastroenteritis, we cultured the stool of 903 patients over 10 months from April 1993 to February 1994. In this study, campylobacter jejuni, salmonella and Shigella were isolated from 19,29 and 16 patients respectively.
