Description
Summary:This paper discusses the model identification of a biplane which has superior lift generation capability and the influences of identification errors on trajectory generation using updating final-state control (UFSC). Aerodynamic parameters are identified using a combination of wind tunnel tests and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis. The influences of parameter errors on approach trajectory generation are also investigated using Monte Carlo simulations. The simulations clearly demonstrate the relationship between the parameter errors and the trajectory accuracies. In addition, the acceptable range of parameter errors is investigated.
