Description
Summary:Domestic violence is a crime. All international and national studies on this subject have contributed to uncovering part of it, shedding light on a very serious and dramatic reality. For that reason, in April 2001, the Italian Parliament passed the law n. 154 concerning “Measures against domestic violence”, therefore affirming in by this act its will to respond to the problem. The law, which is considered an example of a “normative act against the blackmail of fear”, consists of a series of guide lines to prevent the offender from repeating the crime. In view of this, it is essential to find out today what has actually changed in Italy six years after its coming into force.
