description More than half of whiteflies (Aleyrodidae) species are distributed in the tropics. In Colombia, the taxonomic survey of this group has been neglected for almost three decades. This situation causes limitations in the study of basic and applied entomology for these sap-sucking insects, which are of considerable importance in agriculture as they affect an extensive number of cultivated and wild plants. In this work, we provide six species new records for the country, whose distribution is depicted in maps. Lastly, we mention the identification of the corresponding host plants.
