In dit artikel onderzoekt de auteur hoe een jeugdbeschermer in een concrete casus het concept van een “goede moeder” construeert en wat de gevolgen daarvan kunnen zijn. De casus, besproken aan de hand van de concepten transnationalisme en interculturele competentie, illustreert hoe een probleemgerichte aanpak zonder aandacht voor culturele aspecten de plank mis slaat en kan leiden tot eenzijdige conclusies. |
