| Summary: | Introduction: the problem of monitoring the profitability of the main professional educational programs being implemented is becoming increasingly important in the context of the need to meet the criteria for the effectiveness of the activities of universities, the introduction of effective financial management in the universities and the modernization of the management system of educational programs. The profitability of the educational program is considered not only as a key indicator of the economic efficiency of the implementation of educational programs, but also as one of the significant factors in determining the prospects for the development of the university, which has a significant impact on the indicators of the university and characterizes the result achieved and the resources used.Materials and methods: in the article the issue of increasing the efficiency of the university activity under the conditions of the management of the basic professional educational programs is considered, the description of the information - analytical service for calculating the profitability of the implementation of the basic professional educational programs introduced in the Minin University as one of the key conditions for the effectiveness of the modernization of the management of educational programs is presented.Results of the research: the authors describe the methodology and the main stages of the project implementation for the creation and implementation of the electronic service "Calculation of the planned profitability of the implementation of the main professional educational programs", including the formation of the budget of income and expenditure of the main professional educational programs; the indicators obtained by the results of the introduction of the service are listed, the main effects from the introduction of the service are listed.Discussion and conclusions: the final part of the article examines the possibilities and limitations of the application of the experience of the Minin University in other higher education educational institutions, examines the problems encountered in the implementation of the project, lists the profitability of the implementation of educational programs, expected in the long term as a result of the implementation of the service.
