Based on their philosophies, I aim to prove that liberty is to be understood contextually, meaning that its relation with necessity varies regarding time and place but, on the whole, Hegel’s approach to the matter is the most balanced and trustworthy, even if Kant and Marx ofered their own valuable insights and critics to the problem of modern freedom. |
