Summary: | The considerations addressed in the present paper are aimed to demonstrate the relationship between culture and creativity as a constitutive relation of fundamental importance and, at the same time, as a fundamental principle of education studies and contemporary culture studies in particular. especially nowadays, the educational perspective in artistic culture considerations seems to gain relevance as it incorporates key assumptions, value system issues, ethical choices, motivations in life in the world ruled by material possessions. The artistic culture is defined as the totality of cultural values created, strengthened or disseminated by the man by means of the arts understood as a field of the culture, symbolic activity, form of expression, human communication, science registration, a kind of cognition and a tool of education. The creativity, on the other hand, is characterized as the spirit of the culture, its foundations and horizon, its construction material, its content and idea, in other words, the original culture and its social function beyond creativity does not exist, but at the same time, the creativity itself is enriched owing to the enhancement of its cultural development. The interaction of the culture and creativity constitutes an important aspect of the contemporary cultural life and an educational challenge to enhance the culture through development of creativity and most importantly to boost creativity through cultural development is considered as an enrichment activity. although the universal values documenting the creative achievements of the man throughout its time demonstrate the extent of the challenge, it needs to be emphasised that the greatest challenge lies in dealing with the clear signs of a crisis and ilemmas of the contemporary artistic culture.
