| description | The paper presents a socio-philosophical analysis of the problem of formation and development of the contemporary Russian youth’s mental space. The main factors, determining the youth’s mental space transformation, their dialectics, tendencies of qualitative and quantitative mental space changes are revealed. Mental space structure is examined in terms of functioning and interaction of its main components: mentality, mindsets and identities. The analysis of new identity types formation is being done, revealing causes and consequences. Interrelation between peculiarities of the youth’s mental structures and identity types (e.g. national, social, transnational and socio-spatial ones) formation is established. The author investigates the mechanisms of various types of identity formation, their interrelation and interdependence. Causes of new identity types formation and their importance with respect to influencing the youth mental space are revealed. |
