Description
Summary:Cordierite honeycomb ceramics supported La0.8Sr0.2Mn0.5Al0.5O3-δ monolithic catalysts (LSMA/Cord) were prepared by glycine-nitrate solution impregnation method. The catalysts were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM).The catalytic performance and stability for methane combustion were evaluated in a tubular reactor. The influence of operating parameters of reverse flow catalytic combustion on the characteristics of heat wave and methane conversion rate were studied in a reverse flow reactor with LSMA/Cord monolithic catalysts, within methane concentration of 0.5%-1.0%, periodic duration of 10-40 min and space velocity of 2 000-5 000 h-1.Results show that LSMA/Cord monolithic catalysts exhibit high catalytic activity and stability for methane combustion. The variation of the operation parameters have great effects on the heat balance, the temperature distribution and the methane conversion rate of the reverse flow reactor.Methane conversion rate can be obtained above 98% at a self-maintained operation with methane concentration of 1%, space velocity of 3000 h-1 and periodic duration of 10-30 min.LSMA/Cord monolithic catalysts are of practical significance in the field of lean methane reverse flow catalytic combustion.
