description Psychogenic polydipsia (PP) or compulsive water drinking is a psychiatric situation characterized by drinkİng more than normal amount of water, which becomes habitual without thirst. It is seen in %6-20 of patients hospitalized in psychiatry clinics, most commonly with diagnosis of schizophrenia (%80). Apart from this, it can also be seen in depression with psychotic features, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, alcohol substance addicts and after antipsychotic use. It is stated that its etiopathogenesis is multifactorial, one of them being malfunction of the thirst center in the hypothalamus. It has also been reported that excessive fluid intake disrupts the regulation of the hypothalamo-pituitary axis and causes dysregulation of the hypothalamo- pituitary axis and causes dysregulation in antidiuretic hormone (ADH) secretion. In this case report, the treatment of a child with PP who had been treated with clomipramine will be presented
