Performing bone marrow aspiration in this patient was difficult (a “dry tap”), and the diagnosis was established by means of a bone marrow biopsy and immunohistopathologic analysis. The prognostic significance of acute myelofibrosis in patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia is not clear. |
