| Summary: | The Alliance of Antifascists Intellectuals for the Defense of Culture represents one of the most important institutions for the understanding the antisfacist discourse during the Spanish Civil War. This paper explores the position of women in the group and her image in the group’s magazine: El Mono Azul. A journey through the idea of the feminine in the first women’s groups of the 20th century is traced to finish with a study of the texts published in the aforementioned magazine, in connection with the other antifascist magazines such as Hora de España or Mujeres Libres. |
