| description | In this article we examine the defining characteristics of visitors to three ethnological museums located in the Catalonian Pyrenees, which share similar features: the Valls d’Àneu Ecomuseum, the Turpentine Women Museum and the Val d’Aran Museum. A series of surveys conducted in these museums and in the regions where they are located have enabled us to obtain a clearer picture of this visitor’s main characteristics and, based on this knowledge, to understand the role played by these heritage facilities in tourism in the local environment. |
