description Scientific construction of marine ecological environment carrying capacity system and in-depth study of marine ecological environment carrying capacity in Guangdong Province are conducive to promoting the sustainable and healthy development of regional human and nature in a balanced state, which is of great significance to building a strong marine province in Guangdong Province. This study constructed an evaluation index system based on PSR model, comprehensively evaluated the marine ecological environment carrying capacity of Guangdong Province from 2008 to 2017 by entropy method, and analyzed the coordinated development level of each subsystem combined with the coupling coordination degree model. The followings are the results of the study. (1) The overall level of marine ecological environment carrying capacity in Guangdong Province has been continuously improved, but the development level is still low, and there are downside risks. It was found that the pressure index fluctuated and rised as a whole, with high instability. The overall state index showed a relatively stable trend, with a low level and a slight downward trend. The response index showed a trend of "high at both ends and low in the middle", which was basically consistent with the trend of the comprehensive system. (2) In terms of the coordinated development of coupling, the comprehensive coordination index of pressure, state and response subsystems showed an upward trend, which was in the transitional development stage and still had a lot of room for improvement.
