description This paper presents some Wi-Fi radiation measurement results made by the authors in different locations. The proposed methodology uses a specific spectral analyser with a Hyper-log antenna that was attached to the measuring device directly using a SMA connector. The frequency range is available for measurement in real time, and it covers 0-4 GHz frequency band including WLAN, UMTS, and DECT bands. The measurements were focused just on WLAN 2.4 GHz frequency band and the measured values achieved in this band are compared with the exposure limits Salzburg1 and Salzburg3 established by Recommendation 1999/519/EC. The purpose of these measurements is to determine the level of radiation in a usual work environment (university laboratories or offices) because further work will test whether these RF exposures influences some health parameters such as the heart rate variability (HRV).
