The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between severity of depressive symptomes and hopelessness levels of caregivers of children with disabilities and their perceived social support. Materials and Methods: A total of 205 caregivers of disabled children were included in this cross-sectional study. A ‘sociodemographic questionnaire’, ‘Beck Depression Scale’, ‘Beck Hopelessness Scale’ and ‘Multidimensional Perceived Social Support Scale’ were used to assess the subjects in this cross-sectional study. Direct and indirect effects of a predictor in path models of mediation and moderation were calculated. The bootstrapping method has been used to calculate confidence intervals for indirect effects.
