description This document presents the research findings on the faculty collaboration at IFAD’s (by their acronym in Spanish) at Durango State. A case study was used with a qualitative approach, with data obtained from open-answer questionnaires. The information was systematized through codification and categorization. The research main objective was to describe how the faculty collaboration is developed inside the IFAD’s and to describe its effects in professors’ and Institutes’ performance. Findings show that faculty collaboration lead to an improvement in the professors’ performance, and it has an impact into the students’ training. It was found that inside of IFAD’s, faculty collaboration falls into the forced or artificial faculty collaboration; there is evidence that competitive faculty collaboration exists.
