| Summary: | The paper considers the concept "family" as a significant part of the culture in Russia and China. The particularity of semantic content was studied with using Russian and Chinese explanatory dictionaries, which contain the basis of lexicographic sources. The word definitions demonstrates that more components of the linguistic view of the world are included in Chinese language. The central component of the paper is the research of the concept based on the semantic fields: the fields of everyday life, marital relationships and abstract concepts. Observations on similarities and differences in the concept study were supported by a number of Russian and Chinese proverbs and sayings. The particularity of the concept "family" performance in both languages is connected by Christianity religion and Confucianism. The definition of the main cultural components for the concept "family" possesses practical significance for teaching Chinese students Russian language and Russians Chinese language. |
