| Summary: | The duration of snow cover, the state of surface, and the albedo in late winter to early spring are studied as climatic factors. A linear dependence of the surface albedo on the duration of snow cover has been found from the data recorded at Tartu-Töravere Actinometric Station over the period 1953-1992. The albedo in early spring (March-April) and the annual albedo were estimated from the early spring data for the duration of snow cover. Besides, the dependence of the surface albedo on air temperature, depth of the snow cover, and its water storage are described. |
