Summary: | The mimeograph, tool of the grassroots conflict in the XX century. The role of the media within political, social and cultural conflicts is fundamentally important, because all the collective actors make use of media in relation to their goals and results. The history of media helps to define the relationship between new and older means of communication and the role they play in conflictual contexts within different historical periods. The mimeograph is, without any doubt, the feature medium of conflicts in a particular historical period – the period from '68 to all the 70s of the last century – and that even though scarcely investigated by communication scholars, it can helps us to understand the roots of the communicative conflict in the modern society
