Summary: | The COVID-19 pandemic started in 2020 and due to the high level of contagion social distancing measures were adopted in order to reduce the proliferation of the virus. In this context, the telehealth approach gained notoriety. This modality can be classified into Telemedicine, Teleconsultation, Telerehabilitation, Telemonitoring and Teleconsulting. The aim of this study was to develop a protocol for physical therapy assessment in telehealth for pediatric patients. The protocol developed was divided into 3 stages: pre-service, service and finalization. Through the steps of the product created, it is possible to follow a strategy for physical and functional assessment, minimizing failures and facilitating successful remote service. Despite the barriers to the implementation of telehealth, such as the performance of some stages of the physical examination, technological, geographical and organizational limitations, this modality has been of great value, and considering future perspectives, it has great potential to remain a permanent choice of care.
