description Angola is among the 15th most dynamic economies in Africa, economic growth is based on the expansion of oil production. This is close to two million barrels per day, placing the country among the major oil producers in the world. At the same time, Angola shares the characteristics of so-called Least Developed Countries and faces serious structural challenges. At present there are at least three threats targeting Angolan external sector, namely the high propensity to import, the volatility of oil prices and the slowdown in the Chinese economy. The present work aims to identify these threats as a latent danger that hangs over the Angolan economy in the medium.
