description Studies of the directions of development of the energy sector (ES) are of a multivariate nature. With a combinatorial approach, in order to form possible options for the development of the energy sector, the number of options reaches several million, of which the researcher needs to select several for research. To ease the burden on the researcher, an IT environment was developed that supports a two-level technology for researching energy security problems, including the stages of qualitative and quantitative analysis using semantic modeling methods and numerical calculations. Now, the transition from semantic models to numerical calculations is carried out manually, therefore it is proposed to integrate semantic and mathematical modeling into the software packages (SP) “INTEC-A”. This article discusses the integration of cognitive and mathematical modeling in the SP “INTEC-A”.
