Description
Summary:This article aims to analyze the link between gender relations and capitalist production. The central idea is to explain that social production-reproduction in Capitalism necessarily generates, as a condition and result, social relations of class exploitation and gender oppression. In this sense, the need to understand gender, in its essence as a relationship of social production is highlighted. Similarly, different conceptions of gender are analyzed, highlighting some associated myths/fetishes. Subsequently, the different interrelationships established between capitalist relations of production and gender relations are analyzed from a more essential point of view; as well as its expression in the current stage of neoliberal globalization. The critique of Political Economy constitutes the methodological foundation of the analyzes developed throughout the article.
