Summary:The authors have carried out the numerical investigation of particle sedimentation in kerosene-based ferrofluid in a thin vertical channel considering probable thermodiffusion particle redistribution at nonuniform heating. The values of thermodiffusion parameter have been determined. Thermal diffusion at such parameters for specified temperature difference on channel edges is comparable to sedimentation segregation mechanism.
