description | The Qur'an and kiadith govern all aspects of Islam's belief system and its manifestation in human life. The Qur'an represents the precisely revealed words of Allah and the kfadith constitute the practical and methodological dimensions of the Queanic commands and instructions. Allah tasked the Prophet (PBUH) to do the following: rehearse the Quian's messages to people; unfold the truth revealed in the %lean; and teach his followers. The bayin of the Qur'an is known as the klaclith and Sunnah. The Companions got directly from the Prophet (PBUH) transmitted it to the later generations. In the long span of Islamic history, even not a little passage of time we can find, which is blank from the people who are true descendents of Sahabah in respect of their faith and deposition. Nawab Siddiq Masan Khan was an important figure in colonial-era Islamic reform in India who flourished during 19'h century, being a prominent representative of the 4121-i-kfachtb movement, the Nawab naturally championed the cause of tfadith. He himself wrote about 40 voluminous and small books on this subject in all three languages which he had mastered, i.c., Arabic Persian and Urdu, and published and distributed them. His contributions to this subject had been quite remarkable and were universally recognized in academic circles from the point of richness of material and high standard of research. In this context, this paper makes a brief analysis of development of kfadith literature in India and Nawab SIddiq liason Khan's contribution to !faith literature. |
