Description
Summary:Introduction. Today, the topic of correlation between politics and culture, as well as the role of culture in shaping the political consciousness of the audience is actively discussed. However, the answers to the questions are ambiguous. The author proposes to consider the system of culture in the prism of the universal theory of systems of T. Parsons. The aim of the study is to determine the correlation of the role of culture and philosophy in the formation of the individual’s ideas about the world, as well as to determine the place of scientific and technical romanticism at the intersection of culture and philosophy. Methods. To analyze the essence of classical culture as a system focused on the formation of the political consciousness of the individual, a universal research tool known as the AGIL scheme of T. Parsons have been chosen. Methodological approaches of a number of Russian and Western researchers, such as M. Bunge, V. Mezhuyev, H. Ortega-i-Gasset, etc., have also been used in the work. Analysis. In the framework of the research, the author identifies four functions that are characteristic of culture as a system that forms political consciousness: adaptation, integration, goal setting, as well as the preservation and formation of existing latent patterns. Further, the author conducts research of correlation of concepts of classical culture, traditional culture and mass culture. Results. Based on the revealed properties of the studied systems, the author reveals cognitive methods and essential characteristics of scientific and technical romanticism as a phenomenon existing at the intersection of philosophy and culture.
