description This article aims to show that the Venezuela’s adhesion to MERCOSUR has the result more perceptive from bilateral relation with Brazil. In an economic point of view this context has been realized in different sectors of economy like energetic, commodities exchange, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) because the trade exchanges diversification are deeper between Venezuelans and Brazilians than among other countries. Therefore, the Argentina intention, supporting the Venezuela adhesion in MERCOSUR to reduce the Brazilian preponderance, take another direction because the Brazil will be one of the most beneficed with the new partner insertion. Nowadays Venezuela already has the second positions among the Brazil’s partners in South America.
