| description | This article is focused on the choice of approach to localize a deviation in byte distribution in a file by means of the wavelet analysis. In the article the dependence of scale parameter and wavelet coefficients values is revealed. Experiments are conducted to confirm a hypothesis that encrypted data does not have deviations in the byte distribution. The results show that the false positive is reduced to zero and the proposed approach has its drawbacks, in the form of increased false negative; however it will be improved in subsequent works. |
