| Summary: | The review describes the effect of neurometabolic therapy with Actovegin on glucose uptake, as well as antioxidant, antihypoxant and other mechanisms of action of the drug. The possibilities of neurometabolic therapy in the treatment of neurological complications of diabetes mellitus are considered. On the basis of analysis of a large number of studies we concluded that Actovegin can be widely used in diabetic polyneuropathy and diabetic encephalopathy. |
